This New Orleans
trio hit the Big Easy with their first release in 2003, proudly
parading a combination of musical elements at once traditional and
revolutionary. The rhythm section consists of Washboard Chaz on
washboard and Matt Perinne on sousaphone, which doesn't stop the Tin Men
from playing either funk or Sun Ra covers. Guitarist and vocalist Alex
McMurray contributes original material, much of it about life in New
Orleans. A wide range of Tin Pan Alley classics from writers such as
Fats Waller and Irving Berlin is also part of the band's intriguing set
list
